Development of a Simulation Model of a Marshalling Yard

Object: The purpose of this article is about using simulation modeling, and the choice environment in study marshalling yards. Predicting approach trains to yards for different time periods an essential tool detailed planning its operation. Methods: To research operation sorting stations, method was chosen. includes: agent-based system dynamics, discrete-event modeling. process arrival, processing departure at yard can be considered as a model. Its functionality determined by main factors: probabilistic distribution times arrival requests duration service; configuration service system; number productivity channels; discipline queue. Findings: result formalization model yard. Conclusions: allows do: - build further work plans all station resources; establish dependencies patterns; predict state mitigate or eliminate operational difficulties.
